Walt Disney created a masterpiece ahead of its time idea. You can say it belongs to him the authorship of "klipovoy aesthetics. " This breakthrough in technology and art, alas, does not understand either the audience or critics, and the painting, which includedsketches of the music of Bach, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Beethoven, Ponchelli,Mussorgsky and Schubert, has lain on the shelf for almost 50 years.

Overture to the music of Bach: indescribable riot of colors in the form of abstract images and rhythmically varying shapes. Dance Suite from "The Nutcracker" by Tchaikovsky: bewitching dance fluttering fairies, mushrooms, fish, swirling leaves and snowflakes. Symphony excerpt from the "Apprentice Magician" Duke: starring Mickey Mouse, became a victim of magical powers that came out of control. From the ballet "The Rite of Spring" Stravinsky: the origin of life on Earth, from amoebas to the first amphibians, domination and the death of the dinosaurs. "Pastorale" (sixth), Beethoven's Symphony: get up to mischief in the bosom of the ancient nature of centaurs and nymphs raised the ire of Zeus, sending them to the storm."Dance of the Hours" from the opera Ponkielli "Mona Lisa": comic dancers - ostrich corps de ballet, hippos, elephants and crocodiles, entered into a rage are falling apart, "the curtain" all the scenery. "Night on Bald Mountain" Mussorgsky: coven of witches and other evil spirits, which was interrupted at sunrise. Conclusion: Under the sublime "Ave Maria" by Schubert procession with candles meets dawn.

The slogan of the movie was "Fantasia Will Amazia!" (1942 re-release)

"Think you got what it takes to be "creative"? Then welcome to the other side of sanity."
